Overflow edge: water right up to the deck
The water surface and the deck become one level. See how the channel and the tank work, and when the choice pays off.
- 25 cmgrating width
- ~60 m²ideal from here up
- 1balance tank

Where the water goes
The level reaches exactly to the rim and water runs continuously into a perimeter gutter. A grating of around 25 cm, in plastic or marble, covers the gutter and you walk on it barefoot. Below ground a tank gathers whatever spills over, and the pump sends it to the filter and back into the pool.
Why a tank is needed
Every swimmer who jumps in raises the level. The extra water waits in the tank and comes back once the pool is empty of people, so the rim always stays full.
When it pays off
- Large water areas, above roughly 60 m²
- Rental houses where many people swim at once
- Modern architecture with no visible walls
- Hillsides facing the sea or the mountains
